Obituary for Dorothy Betty Davis Dorothy Betty Davis passed away in St. Anne’s Mead on September 2, 2018, at the age of 98. She will be greatly missed for her sense of humor and generosity, and remembered for her lifelong love of gardening, beautiful cross-stitched “paintings”, her love of music and books, and playing dominoes with her dear friends, “her second family”, members of the loving community of St. John’s Episcopal Church. And most of all she will be greatly missed by her loyal companion Sassie.

Her contributions to the lives of many include years of supporting organizations like Heifer International, Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Doctors without Borders, and Detroit Public Television to name a few. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Kay Barbas and Linda Davis. “Grandma Dot” is also survived by six grandsons, Mark, Marty, Clifton, John, James and Curtis, two granddaughters, Sara and Catherine, six great-grandchildren, her niece and nephews, Michael, Nancy and Christopher Kwiecinski, their spouses and children.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Kenneth Oliver Davis, her son Kenneth Martin Davis, daughter Ruth Ann Eberle, sister Barbara Jean Kwiecinski, and cousins Virginia “Ginny” and Basil Davis. Share your stories of remembrance on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road (4 blocks E of Woodward), Royal Oak, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, followed by a memorial service at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 26998 Woodward Avenue (SE corner of 11 Mile and Woodward) at 2 pm.
