Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy Mae Carlson, age 93, of Rhinelander, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born in Rhinelander on Sunday, December 6, 1925 to Vina and George Oberklaner. She married John Weaver Carlson on August 2, 1947 and together they raised eight children.

Throughout her life Dorothy enjoyed volunteering at the hospital, Rhinelander Public Library and chaperoning The Belles of St. Mary’s trips. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; Vina and George Oberklaner, her husband; John Weaver Carlson, and daughter; Susan Kulis. Dorothy is survived by her children; Jeanne (Phil) Stefonik, Patti (Fred) Woolman, Bill (Mary) Carlson, Mary Carlson, Barbara (Larry) Carlson-Towne, Ann (Mike) Mondloch and Carol (Jeff) Perlberg.

She is further survived by fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The visitation for Dorothy will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, located at the corner of Conro and King Street from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Mass. Fr.

Mike Tupa will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Forest Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Rhinelander Public Library, 106 N. Stevens Street, Rhinelander, Wisconsin 54501 or to Nativity Catholic Church, 125 E. King Street, Rhinelander, Wisconsin 54501.
