Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy “Dottie” Walters Geswein, 86, of Germantown, Ohio formerly of Ironton, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Astoria Health and Rehab Center in Germantown, Ohio. The Ironton, Ohio native was born January 7, 1933, the daughter of the late William Walters and Dorothy Flowers Walters. Dottie was a 1951 graduate of Ironton High School and a homemaker.

She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Ironton. Dottie was preceded in death by (in addition to her parents); her husband, Thomas E. Geswein who passed away on January 3, 2013. brother Edward (Lena) Walters sister Mary (Don) Hannon She is survived by: daughter, Pam (Dan) Stakich of Sun City, Arizona son, Tim (Patty) Geswein of Ironton, Ohio son, Thomas W. (Jill) Geswein of Germantown, Ohio three grandchildren, Emma, Ashton, and Aaron Geswein all of Germantown, Ohio.

She is also survived by Shirley Dalton, friend of the family, who cared for her after her husband’s passing. Funeral services will be 1:00P.M. Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. 6th St., Ironton, Ohio 45638 with Pastor Steve Harvey officiating. A committal service and burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.

The Geswein family will receive friends Friday from 11:00A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dottie’s name to: Hospice of Miami Valley, 46 North Detroit Street, Suite B, Xenia, OH 45385 or www.
