Garneita’s Obituary Garneita June Coburn, 94, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at her residence. The Ashland, KY native was born June 30, 1924, a daughter of the late Earl L. and Edith Walters Coburn. Ms. Coburn was a graduate of Ironton High School and a former inspector for Wilsons Sporting Goods, retiring in 1986 after 32 years of service.

She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two brothers: Willis Coburn and Sheldon “Jay” Coburn a sister: Theda Coburn Jenkins She is survived by: three brothers: James Coburn, Gary Coburn both of Ironton and Denvil Coburn of Gallipolis, OH also several nieces and nephews and their families Friends may call Monday March 18, 2019 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the Mausoleum at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, KY with her nephews, Randy Jenkins and Scott Jenkins officiating. Donations may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, c/o Pastor Matt Dillon, 263 Co. Rd.
