Medders Elwell Marden, 89 will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 6, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Weaver with Dr. Johnny Hunt, Rev. Johnny Pruitt, Rev. Steve Hyland and Rev.

Mrs. Marden passed away at Regional Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Weaver. Her family would like to thank the compassionate doctors, nurses and staff of RMC and Noland Hospital for the loving care provided during her illness.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to her dear friend and caregiver, Nancy Ralston. She is survived by one sister-in-law, her nieces, nephews, friends and many loved ones. Mrs. Marden is preceded in death by her husbands, Capt.

David Elwell and Victor Marden; daughter, Debbie Scott; parents, Willie and Paralee Medders; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Pallbearers will be John Reynolds, Greg Brown, Charlie Polland, Rodney Pair, Jack Hurlbut, and Frank Crow. Mrs. Marden was born the sixth of seven children to Godly parents, who taught her the premium of prayer.

Her impressions of prayer were formed though attending Wednesday night prayer meetings with her family. It was there she began to see God move in answer to prayer. Early in her teen years, she began to spend much time in prayer.

The untimely death of her first husband, an Air Force Flyer, caused her to spend even more hours in prayer, seeking the face of God and His will for her life. God had called her to be a missionary at age 15, but that call did not become a reality for many years, while God prepared her for a very special ministry; to share the Messiah with His Chosen People; Israel. She was the founder of World-Wide Jewish Missions and labored with her husband, Victor Marden, a completed Jew, whom God sent to be her husband, and the Director of the Mission.

Mrs. Marden lived many years in Woodstock, GA and was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodstock. Later in life she moved to Alexandria to be closer to her nieces and nephews. She also rejoined her home church at First Baptist Church of Weaver.
