OBITUARY Velva Dean Burke Brown August 20, 1951 – November 24, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Funeral service for Velva Dean Burke Brown, 67, of Anniston, was held at 12pm on Tuesday, November 27th at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Dr. Bill Snow officiating. The family received friends from 10-12pm Tuesday at the at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown passed away on Saturday at RMC.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Marvin Brown; children Frankie Brown (Karen), Valerie Webb (Curtis), and Shane Brown (Virginia); grandchildren Melissa Pinson (T. J), Megan Brown, Jeremy Webb, and Courtney Brown; great-grandchildren Cayden Brown, Brantley Brown, and Autumn Wibby; sisters Ina Gail Borders and Glenda Sawyer; and brother Alton Burke. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Willodean Burke; and brother Allen Burke.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Webb, Mike Smith, T.J. Pinson, Greg Goodwin, Slade Guthrie, and Jamie Burke. Mrs. Brown was a native of Anniston and a long-time member of Edgewood Methodist Church. She enjoyed various hobbies such as cooking, canning, gardening.

She was a godly woman who put Christ first and played piano at many different churches throughout her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.
