Obituary for Dorothy E. Mazzetta Piscataway – Dorothy E. (DePue) Mazzetta, 90, surrounded by her loving family at home, passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 24, 2018. Born in Plainfield to the late William and Marjorie (Schnarback) DePue, Dorothy has been a lifelong resident of Piscataway. She spent her early years working as a clerk for G.O. Keller in Plainfield.

She loved to spend time with her family, especially shopping and taking trips to Atlantic City and the Sands. Once her great-granddaughter Lilah was born, she dedicated spending time with her, especially in the garden. Predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2000 and her sister Barbara Jackson in 2018, Dorothy leaves behind her daughter Linda Wegner, granddaughter Ashley-Lyn Wegner and great-granddaughter Lilah Kylie Walker, all of Piscataway and her sister Marjorie DePue of Florida.

Visitation will take place in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 6-9 pm and on Friday, September 28, 2018 beginning 10:30 am. Funeral services will begin 11:00 am in the funeral home on Friday, September 28, 2018 followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Those wishing to send flowers to the funeral home are encouraged to do so, but for those wishing to make contributions in Dorothy’s name, please send to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 355 Lexington Avenue, 15th Floor, New York, New York 10017.
