Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy Taft, 90, of Spring Branch, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at her residence in Spring Branch. Dorothy was born on April 12, 1928, in Sweetwater, Texas to Ruby Scott Mann and Walter Mann. She was a retired waitress who worked at Charles Restaurant in Johnson City for over ten years.

Dorothy loved to play Bunco with her friends once a week and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends who she often cooked for during get togethers and holidays. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Barbara Taft of Spring Brach, Texas; sons, Curtis Taft and his wife Terri of Floresville and Gene Taft and Alicia of Universal City, Texas; grandchildren, Russell Shane Taft, Denise Snider and her husband Aubrey, Kim Brueland, Tara Brueland and Wes Brueland; great grandchildren, Mason Sparks, Keith Brueland, Zoe’ Ruiz, Krystal Macuba and her husband Joseph, Atticus Murayama and Olivia Snider. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Wesley Taft, Jr. who passed away on March 21, 2001.

A visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco. Graveside services will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2019, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
