Obituary for Dorothy Joyce Swisher Dorothy Joyce Swisher passed from this life November 18, 2018 in Muskogee Oklahoma. Her funeral service will be held Monday November 26, 2018 at 1:00pm at DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur OK followed by interment at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur. with Rev Steve Robinson officiating.

Serving as pallbearers: Dudley St.Clair, Larry StClair, Asa StClair, Terry Miller, Bryan Lewis, and Chuck Gitsham. Honorary bearers will be Mike Gore and Lance Swisher. Dorothy, the daughter of Jeff Churchman StClair and Martha Jewel Moon StClair, was born on February 16, 1937 in Milburn Oklahoma.

She was married to Bobby Gene Sipes from 1953 until he passed in 1971. They had 3 children, Benita Sue, Teressa Marie and Jack Wesley Sipes. She was a homemaker and also a beautician that owned her own salon in Cromwell Oklahoma.

In the mid 70’s she owned and operated an RV park in Vinita Oklahoma. In 1979 she married Phillip Wilbanks and began her career in road construction. She worked as an office manager, flagger, parts runner and could operate several pieces of heavy machinery.

They traveled through Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Arkansas working road construction projects. After Phillip passed in 1996 she and her daughter Teressa bought a farm north of McAlester OK and raised cattle. She married Thomas Swisher in 2002 and they retired to the Lake Eufaula home where she resided until her death.

Dorothy loved music, fishing, camping, gardening, bull riding events, OU Sooners, the Texas Rangers, beautiful flowers and birds. She is preceded in death by her parents Jeff and Jewel StClair, husbands Bobby Sipes and Phillip Wilbanks, son Jack Sipes, sisters Dudley Mae StClair and Mildred Beaver, brothers June and Jesse StClair. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Thomas, 2 daughters, Benita and Teressa, son in law Mike Gore, grandchildren, Shannon, Justin and Brooke, great-grandchildren, Caine, Sierra, Dillon, Aaron, Ryan, Lucas, Jacob, Andrew and William, great great granddaughter Ella, step-children, Tommy, Kathy, Tanya, Lisa and Lance and many nieces and nephews.
