Obituary for Dorothy L. DeCavage Dorothy L. (Piombino) DeCavage, 84, formerly of Cheshire, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday at Backus Hospital in Norwich. Born in New Haven on September 11, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (DeSantos) Piombino. She worked for Prudential Insurance Co. for over 15 years and then for her son Gary in the family’s business, The CT Shirt Man, in Watertown for over 25 years.

She enjoyed gardening but most of all she loved her family and adored her grand and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Shari and her husband David Wetzel with whom she lived in Griswold, her son Gary DeCavage and his wife Janet Robinson of Southington, her grandchildren Jacquelyn and her husband Eric O’Keefe, Rachel DeCavage, Suzanne and her husband David Sebastian, Greg, Renae and Gretchen Wetzel, her great grandchildren Alaina, Edward and Ellie. She also leaves a brother Frank and his wife Ann Piombino of Hamden, a sister Joan Mastrantonio of Wallingford and was predeceased by sisters, Helen, Mary, Kay and Lillian.
