Funeral Saturday, March 16, 2019 11 AM at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church Dorothy (nee Finney) Kizer, age 85, of Wheatfield, formerly of Tonawanda, died Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Hospice House in Lockport. Born February 19, 1934 in Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (nee Couturiaux) Finney, Sr. and had been a resident of Tonawanda for the greater part of her life. Dorothy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of Tonawanda United Methodist Church on Morgan Street, where she had been a Sunday School teacher and member of the Church Choir.

She was the wife of the late LeRoy J. Kizer, Sr., who died December 9, 2008; mother of LeRoy (Diane) Kizer, Jr. of Sanborn, Deborah (John) Strassburg of Noblesville, Indiana, and Sharon (Jack) Ferro of Tonawanda; and grandmother of Christopher (Lorna) Strassburg, Cherrie (Scott) Young, John (Nena) Strassburg, Jr., Robert (Courtney) Strassburg, Jennifer (Doug) Lewis, and Joey (Kelly) Ferro. Also surviving are 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There is no visitation.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 16, at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 265 Falconer Street at Thompson, North Tonawanda; the Rev. David Beutel officiating. Friends invited.
