VERONA- Dorothy Mae Kaltenberg passed away on her 93rd birthday, July 18, 2018, with her family by her side. She was born in Manitowoc on July 18, 1925, the daughter of Victor and Rose (Ourada) Motiff and was raised in Stangelville by her grandparents after her parents passed away. She married Clarence Kaltenberg on February 15, 1947 and the two enjoyed 55 years of marriage until his death in 2002.

They resided in Verona since 1954 and Dorothy was an active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and volunteered at the Verona Senior Center for many years. She looked forward to planning the Senior Center’s annual Brewers trip and making peanut packs for those attending. She worked various jobs, including waitressing at the Eagle’s Nest and The Dugout, helping in the kitchen at Verona Elementary School, working as secretary at Motiff Heating and as a tour guide for Hello America bus tours.

She was a staunch Brewers and Packers fan. Dorothy is survived by her children, Bill, Nancy (Jerry) Wipperfurth, Judy (Mike) Opsal, Dave (Deb), Mary (Norm) Sandmire, Tom (Shirley), Lori (Bill) Burns, and Rick (Michelle); 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Norbert Kaltenberg; and many extended relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; a granddaughter, Amy Wipperfurth; brothers, Bob (Delores) and Victor (Pat); her best friend, Nila Kaltenberg; and many in-laws.

Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Noel Manor for providing a caring home for Dorothy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2018, at ST. ANDREW CATHOLIC CHURCH, 301 N. Main St., Verona, with Father John Sasse presiding.

Burial will follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass on Monday. To view and sign this guestbook, please visit: www.
