Dorothy V. Anderson, 90, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away peacefully at Angels Touch in DePere on Friday, November 23, 2018 with family at her side. She was born June 23, 1928 in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of the late Walter and Hattie (Olson) Bohler. Dorothy graduated in 1946 from Sturgeon Bay High School.

On November 29, 1952 she married Gordon “Gordy” S. Anderson at Bay View Lutheran Church. Dorothy was a member of the Sons of Norway, Bay View Lutheran Church, taught Sunday school, and participated in the Ladies Aid and many activities at church. She loved reading gardening, square dancing club with Gordy, baking and her dogs.

Survivors include her four children, Gary of Sturgeon Bay; Nancy of Green Bay, Jim, John (Deb) of Appleton; two brothers, Wallace Bohler, Don (Vi) Bohler; and sister-in-law, Joyce Anderson. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; sister, June (Walter) Propsom; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Bohler; god-daughter, Cindy Propsom; nephews, David Propsom, Clayton Bohler; the Anderson in-laws, Earl (Margie), Dale, Glen (Beverly); nieces, Diane and Glenna. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (December 1, 2018) at Bay View Lutheran Church with Rev.

Tim Malek officiating. Burial will be at Bayside Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be given in her memory to Bay View Lutheran Church and Alzheimer’s Association.
