Dorothy Allen Spencer, 81, was born on February 17, 1937 to the late Tim and Matilda Allen in Hardeman County, Tennessee. She went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Mrs. Spencer was a homemaker and a charter member of Faith Baptist Church.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved caring for her family and gardening. Mrs. Spencer is survived by her daughter, Karen Spencer; and affectionately called “Gran” to her two grandchildren, Tristan Brown and Alyssa Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, James Thurman Spencer; her parents; and two brothers, Bobby Allen and James Harold Allen.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, October 13 at Faith Baptist Church. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens.
