Obituary for Dorothy Balboni (Masera) Dorothy (Masera) Balboni, 97, of Windsor Locks wife of the late Joseph T. Balboni, entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at St. Joseph Residence at Little Sisters of the Poor. Dorothy was born October 2, 1920, in Boston, MA the daughter of the late Emilio and Bertha (Pease) Masera. Dorothy retired form Hamilton Standard after several years where she worked as a telephone operator.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary Church and an avid fan of UCONN Women’s basketball and the New York Yankees. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving, wife, mother, and doting grandmother and great-grandmother who worked tirelessly to please her family. Dorothy is survived by her son, Richard Balboni and his wife, Denise of Windsor Locks; two grandchildren, Lauren Boscarino and her husband, Rob, of East Granby and David Balboni of Windsor Locks, and a great-granddaughter, Lucille Boscarino.

Dorothy was predeceased by a son, Paul Balboni and a daughter, Christine Balboni. The family would like to thank the Sisters, Nurses, and staff at St. Joseph Residence for their wonderful and compassionate care. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Thursday, September 27, 2018, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks.

A funeral procession will form at 10:30 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 am at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 105 Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
