Obituary for Herbert Hunt Herbert E. Hunt, 81, of Vernon, entered into eternal peace, Saturday Sept. 8, 2018 at home. The son of the late George and Grace (Samplatsky) Hunt, Herb was born in Hartford and was raised in the Warehouse Point section of East Windsor.

He lived at Welles Country Village in Vernon for the past 10 years. Stationed in Germany, he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Herb was retired from Modern Blueprint after 30 years.

He was a sports enthusiast and was an avid UCONN Huskies fan. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd.

, Enfield. An hour of visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be private.
