Obituary for Karen Lynn Provera Karen Lynn Provera, 56, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, October 5, 2018. She was born on May 27, 1962 in Hartford, CT, the loving daughter of the late Angelo and Beverly (Haun) Provera. Prior to her move to Enfield, Karen lived in Broad Brook for over 25 years.

She worked as a cashier at Arnold’s Meats and more recently, enjoyed her job with the School Crossing Division in Enfield as a crossing guard at Prudence Crandall Elementary School. Along with her beloved fiancé of eight years, Wayne Mayo, Karen was a member of the Springfield Elks Lodge #61. Karen enjoyed fishing and was an avid Yankee’s fan.

She liked to visit the casino and loved vacationing especially in Maine, on the Cape and at Lake George. In addition to her fiancé, Wayne, Karen is survived by her two loving sons, Raymond Provera of Delmar, NY and Travis Provera of Enfield; a brother, Angelo Provera, Jr and a sister, Laura Provera, both of Enfield; and her beloved grandson, Andrew Provera of Delmar, NY. Karen was predeceased by her sister Lillian Cusick.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for calling hours from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd. , Enfield, CT 06082. A funeral service in celebration of Karen’s life is to follow at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Karen may be made to the Enfield School Crossing Division, Attn. Sergeant Meier, 293 Elm Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
