Douglas Allen Ludemann, 52, of North Vernon, Indiana passed away at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018, at his residence. Born August 18, 1965, in Napoleon, Ohio, Mr. Ludemann was the son of William Ludemann and Judy (Ashbacher) Long. He married Lisa (Speck) Ludemann on March 21, 2009 in Blakeslee, Ohio; she survives.

Mr. Ludemann graduated from high school before becoming a truck driver for General Logistics in Seymour. He was a member of the Seymour Moose Lodge, Eagles, V.F.W., and the American Legion. He enjoyed race cars, NASCAR, watching television, and playing pool.

Surviving with his wife, Lisa Ludemann, are his mother, Judy Long; step father, Darroll Long; daughter, Lori Wolfe of Napoleon, Ohio; step-son, Brandon Carroll of Bryan, Ohio; step-daughters Amber Couts of Bryan, Ohio and Misty Roelle of North Vernon; brothers Lonnie Long and Jamie Long of Dallas, Texas; step sister, Mary Ann of Defiance, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, and family friend, Charolotte Rice of Napoleon, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father and a daughter. In keeping with the family’s wishes cremation is planned.

Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon were entrusted with the care of these arrangements.
