Earl Lee Day, age 50 of Leitchfield, passed away Monday, May 27th 2019 at his residence. He was born March 10th 1969 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, the son of Earl Kenneth & Shirley Lee Marshall Day. He was a construction supervisor, an ordained minister, an active member of the McGrew General Baptist Church, and a local association pastor.

He was a devoted husband and son, a loving dad and papaw, and a faithful friend who would always be there to help others in need. He enjoyed farming and spending as much time with his grandchildren as possible. He is survived by his wife, Iris, Lenean Day, his children, Sarah Nunn (Dustin) & Seth Day, four grandchildren, Braxton Day, Audrey Nunn, Reese Nunn, & Grady Day, his parents, Earl & Shirley Day, and his sister, Kathy Hack.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Pat Day. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 31st, 2019 at the McGrew General Baptist Church in Anneta with Bro. Charlie Smith officiating.

Burial will be in the McGrew Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Friday at the McGrew General Baptist Church. Watson & Hunt Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Day.
