HOLYOKE Earle George Smith passed away on September 10, 2018. He was born in Holyoke and attended local schools. He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Mildred Sprague Smith and his brother Francis e Smith.

He leaves behind his wife of 48 years Sandra Olson Smith, his daughter, Amanda his son Kevin and wife Kristi. Two grandchildren Molly and Finn. He retired from the Holyoke Gas & Electric as an Assistant Manager in 1999.

An Army Veteran of Vietnam, he served in the Central Highlands in the Republic of Vietnam. He belonged to American Legion Post 325. His biggest accomplishments in life was serving his country his career and his family.

Calling hours will be held at Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home on Thursday September 13 from 3:00 to 6:00pm. Burial will be private. The family requests that flowers please be omitted.

Donations can be made to Shriner’s Hospital.
