Ed K. Ball, II, age 70, of Carlisle died Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Home surrounded by family and friends. He was born November 10, 1947 in Williamsport, PA to the late Ed K. and Vivian (Stutzman) Ball. Ed retired from the International Automotive Corp.

as a Systems Analyst. After retirement, he worked at Eagles Crossing Golf Course and Karns Food, both in Carlisle. He was a member and past President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1299, a District 9 Officer,… Read More » and a member of the Carlisle Ritual Team for over 25 years.

Ed’s other memberships include Carlisle Lodge #761, Loyal Order of Moose, White Circle Club, Amvets of Carlisle, and the Rippling Waters Rod & Hunting Club. Ed was passionate about shooting pool, horseshoes, and golf. He enjoyed listening to Billy Joel and James Taylor.

Ed is survived by his wife, Jean E. Walker Ball, and his son, Zachary T. Ball, both of Carlisle; three children, Gregory Ball, Gavin Ball, Gennifer Ball Richie, and his first wife, Rosiland Bower Ball, all of New Cumberland; one sister, Susan Ball Faeder of Lewisburg, PA; three nephews, Samuel Faeder of Bronx, NY, David and Michael Walker, both of Seattle, WA; and six grandchildren, Amelia, Donovan, Shannon, Tucker, Ethan, and Benjamin. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Rd. , Carlisle, PA with Rev.

Richard L. Reese officiating. There will be a visitation on Friday, June 15 from 5:00-8:00 pm, and also on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vivian Ball Entertainment Fund, c/o Green Ridge Village, 210 Big Spring Rd. , Newville, PA 17241, and to the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Home, 17110 Linglestown Rd. , Harrisburg, PA 17110.
