Eddie Dennis age 64, passed away Monday evening November 12, 2018. He was born in Palatka, FL on January 4, 1954 to James and Georgia Dennis. Eddie served his country in the United States Army for 20 years.

He served in the Gulf War and was stationed in Germany for 9 years and in Korea. Through his 20 years of service he has many friends across the globe. Eddie was very patriotic and loved his country.

He loved the outdoors especially camping, and he loved to cook. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Joyce Dennis and a granddaughter Tyler Keeling. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Michele Dennis, daughter Marcie Dennis, step daughters: Kelley Keeling and Wendy Akins; brothers: David Dennis and his wife Betty and Steve Dennis; sister Jeanette Bennett and one granddaughter Amanda Fox.

A time of visitation with the family will be held on Monday November 26, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL, on Tuesday November 27, 2018 at 11:30 with military honors. The family asks that donations be made in Eddie’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project or your local DAV.
