Mr. Edgar Walley February 20, 1930 – March 01, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card SERVICES: Tuesday, March 5, 2019 East Side Baptist Church 10:00 a.m. INTERMENT: East Side Baptist Church VISITATION: Monday, March 4, 2019 Jones and Son Funeral Home 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at East Side Baptist Church in Richton for Mr. Edgar Theodore Walley, age 89, of Richton who passed from this life March 2, 2019 at Asbury Hospice. Bro. Charles Mayo and Bro.

Scott Morris will officiate with burial to follow in the East Side Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Shane Walley, Kris Walley, Alan Walley, Michael “Boss” Walley, Larry Wayne Walley, Ricky Walley and Jason Walley as alternate. Mr. Walley was a member and deacon for many years at Eastside Baptist Church.

He retired from Masonite in Laurel after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Walley; son, Edgar Walley, Jr.; parents, Roosevelt and Rene Bell Walley; brothers, James Walley, Coleman Walley and Charles Walley; sister, Frances Conway; grandson, Odis Thompson; great grandson, Jason Walley. He is survived by his son, Virgil C. “Rusty” Walley of Richton; daughter, Martha Gail Clifton of Richton; daughter-in-law, Deborah Walley of Richton; brothers, Robert Walley and William “Sambo” Walley both of Richton; sisters, Ruby Baird of Conroe, TX, Katherine Valentine of Richton and Joan Rosen of Conroe, TX; 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2019 at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.
