Mrs. Karen Madden January 18, 1956 – May 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Saturday, May 18, 2019 Karen Madden Cemetery 5:00 p.m. INTERMENT: Karen Madden Cemetery VISITATION: Saturday, May 18, 2019 The Refuge Worship Center 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Karren Madden Cemetery, 85 Gatlin Road, Purvis, MS 39475, for Mrs. Karen Madden, age 63, of Purvis who passed from this life May 14, 2019 at the Asbury Hospice House. Serving as pallbearers will be Zane Smith, Brantley Smith, Gage Herrin, Andrew Hudson, Jesse Stanley and Richie Peoples. Mrs. Madden loved horseback riding and loved all animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Ray and Pauline Boykin McDonald; step-mom, Capitola McDonald; brothers, Larry Joe Hazelwood and Phillip Hall; sister, Belinda McDonald and great-grandchild, Maverick Jones. She is survived by her husband, John Madden of Purvis; children, Carol Joyce Whiteman (Harold) of Lumberton, John Madden, II, (Bettina) of Purvis, Tia Hutcherson (Benji) of Waynesboro, James Madden of Purvis, Sarah Peoples (Richie) of Purvis, Mandi Graham of Sumrall and Shylo Madden of Purvis; brothers, Bill Larson of Meridian, Billy Hazelwood of Summit, Johnny Hazelwood of Waynesboro, Mike Hazelwood of Runnelstown and Mark McDonald of Georgia; sisters, Mary Pearce, Jackie Huber and Pat Larson all of Sumrall; grandchildren, Zane, Brantley, Gage, Cayden, Tanner, Kyler, Kynleigh, Jennifer, Callie, Chris, Elijah, Issac, Jacob, Rebecca, Laura, Cheyenne, Brianna, Bethany, Maddie and Lexy; and great-grandchildren, Raelynn and Emersynn. Visitation will be 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Refuge Worship Center at 18 White Road, Sumrall, MS 39482 Jones and Son Funeral Home in Hattiesburg is in charge of arrangements.
