Faye Shope Holt, 98, of Candler, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the JFK Solace Center in Asheville. She was born on March 4, 1920 in Summit County, OH to the late Hilliard and Helen Rice Shope. Faye worked as a sales representative for a clothing company and attended Riceville Presbyterian Church; now called Riceville Valley Community Church.

She is survived by her sister, Sara Shope and husband, Harry “Tip” C. Sawyer; her daughters, Patricia “Pat” Anne Holt Yelton of Candler and Katherine “Kathy” Holt Holley of Candler; her three granddaughters, Laurie Beggs, Amie Starnes and Julie Ro; and her three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Holt Family.
