Obituary for Edith M. LePage SOMERSET—Edith M. (Lawton) LePage, 81, a resident of Somerset for 35 years, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17 in the Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Norman J. LePage.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Milton Lawton and the late Ethel (Freeborn) Lawton, she worked as a nurse’s aid at the former Hussey Hospital of Fall River and at Charlton for many years. In retirement she provided private duty CNA care. Edith bowled for many years on the Friends and Relatives League in Westport.

She was an avid Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins fan; who also loved gardening. And she will be missed by her three cats, Papi, Mason and Oreo, and her dog Buster. She is survived by four step-sons, Roland N. LePage and his wife Marie of Westport, Ronald R. LePage and his wife Carolyn of West Bridgewater, Arthur H. LePage, and Donald M. LePage and his wife Tracy all of Fall River; a daughter-in-law Diane M. Torngren of Somerset; a sister Marian Tavares; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her son, George “Swede” Torngren; a brother John Lawton, and three sisters, Judith Lawton, Carol Azeredo, and Phylis Belville. Arrangements were held privately with the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals Somerset. To leave an online condolence message go to www.
