Edith Via Gravely Boladz Sanders, 91, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018. Edith was born November 27, 1927 in Martinsville, Virginia to Ben Franklin and Grace Richardson Gravely. She lived in New York City, New York, and Memphis, Tennessee before moving to Dallas, Texas in 1970.

Edith enjoyed photography, theatre, bridge and golf. She was an active member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas, Meadowbrook United Methodist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas, and the First Baptist Church in Martinsville, Virginia.

Edith was preceded in death by two husbands, Joseph Boladz and Robert Sanders; 4 sisters: Ollie Bauldin, Kathryn Dowdy, Lorine Sunquist, and Margaret Knight; and two brothers, Dillard F Gravely, and Kenneth W Gravely. Edith is survived by four nieces, Heidi Lanford of Waynesboro, Virginia, Suzanne Braswell of Midlothian, Virginia, Lynn Knight Stuchel of Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Leah Gravely of Lilburn, Georgia; and three nephews: William Bouldin of Martinsville, Virginia; Dane Gravely of Bassett, Virginia and Brian Gravely of Pfafftown, North Carolina; as well as numerous great nephews and great nieces. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel.

Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 with Chaplain Paul Johnson and Rev. Libby Grammer officiating. Burial will be held private.
