Gardiner-Edmund A. Pelletier, born October 7, 1941, in Pittsfield, Ma. to William and Sadie Pelletier. Ed passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord with his wife by his side, on May 29,2018 after 20 year hard fought battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Ed graduated from Gardiner High School and went on to become an electrical engineer for Westinghouse Electric, from which he retired early. After Ed retired his tractor and ATV became his favorite toys. He could be seen on his tractor at 4am doing yard work.

He loved his many adventures on his motorcycle before Parkinson took over. Then driving cross country in his RV, spending winters in Tucson, Az at his nephew John and Kimberly’s. He will be remembered for his love for his family and unique sense of humor.

Ed was predeceased by his granddaughter Crystal Cunningham, his parents William and Sadie and siblings: Norman, Harvey, Robert and Rita. Ed is survived by his wife of 51 years, Flora, his sons Michael and special friend Georgia, Gary and wife Mindi. Let’s not forget his 4 legged friend Simon that followed him everywhere.

Also surviving are his siblings: Louis and wife Barbara, Eva, Matilda, Clarence and wife Catherine. Stella and husband Brad, Peter and wife Delores, Erving and wife Diane, Billy and wife Mary and Anita and husband Bruce. Visitation hours will be Monday, June 4,2018 from 5-7pm at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave, Gardiner, Me.

Services will be on Tuesday, June 5th at 430pm at Saint Joseph’s Parish, 110 School Street, Gardiner, Me. With burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, after which a celebration of Ed’s life to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 109 Spring Street in Gardiner.
