Obituary for Edmund A. Saal Hampton – Edmund A. Saal, 86, of Hampton, died peacefully on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Webster at Rye surround by loving family. Edmund was born in 1931 in Weilheim Germany, the son of the late Anton and Erna (Mohrbach) Saal. After immigrating to the US in 1952, he always remained proud of his Bavarian heritage.

Edmund arrived in the United States as a trained electrician and with his strong work ethic started his own business and retired as the president and co-owner of Remida Service, which designed, built and serviced overhead material handling systems. While he settled and raised his family in Cranford, NJ, his true passion was expressed through the complete renovation of his retirement home on Swartswood Lake, NJ, He moved to Hampton in 2012. He shared 61 years of marriage with his beloved wife, and high school prom date, Louise M (Stockinger) Saal.

He leaves two sons, Michael Saal and wife Tamera of North Hampton, David Saal of Solihull, UK, four grandchildren, Cassidy, Haley, Mikhela and Johanna, and his brother, Georg Saal of Weilheim, Germany. He is now reunited with his daughter, Reneé Saal and his brother, Leopold Mohrbach. Those who loved Opa were fortunate to have known him and will remember him as honest, hardworking and tough; but also loving, caring, witty, warm-hearted and smart.

Visiting hours will be held from 4-6 PM on Sunday, June 24, 2018 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, June 25, 2018 in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 289 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ.
