Obituary for Robert T. Brown Nashua – Robert Thomas Brown, 83, formerly of Rye, died July 16, 2018 at The Huntington at Nashua. He was born in Darby PA on February 3, 1935 to Anne (Shreve) and William R. Brown. He graduated from Upper Darby High School and Drexel University with a major in Commerce and Engineering.

He was in ROTC and served in the US Army. Bob started his IBM career in Philadelphia and subsequently served in various IBM headquarters in Westchester County, NY specializing in telecommunications marketing and design. He married Janet (McIntosh); they retired to Rye NH.

He was a telecommunication consultant and designed their retirement home. He served as President of the Rye Historical Society and the Rye Planning Board. He was a Rockingham County Planning Commissioner.

Bob and Janet moved to The Huntington at Nashua, a Life Plan Community, in 2013. They enjoyed various activities until Parkinson Disease limited his participation. He is survived by his wife, his sister Elizabeth (Brown) Jones and her husband Dr. C. Robert Jones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am, July 28, 2018, at Rye Congregational Church, 580 Washington Rd. , Rye. Family and friends are respectfully invited.

Burial will be private in Rye Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Employee Appreciation Fund of The Huntington at Nashua, 55 Kent Lane, Nashua NH 03062 or a charity of your choice.
