Obituary for Robert M. Linnehan Jr. Hampton Falls – Robert M. “Robbie” Linnehan, Jr., 54, of Hampton Falls, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 28, 2018. He was born in Lawrence, MA on August 14, 1963, one of 13 children to the late Robert M. and Mary M. (Carney) Linnehan. Robbie graduated from Winnacunnet High School, Class of 1981.
He received his bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami. Robbie held the positions of Portsmouth (NH) City Prosecutor, Assistant District Attorney for the Territory of Guam, and worked in private law practice in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and New Mexico. He enjoyed skiing, golfing, reading, following horse racing and spending time with his siblings, cousins and friends, especially playing pick-up basketball and 45s with his brothers.
Robbie never turned down a request to help family and friends, often filling in at his brothers’ landscaping business. The activity he enjoyed most, however, was spending time with his son Erik, proudly attending Erik’s graduation ceremony from the United States Marine Corps at Fort Pendleton, CA, in 2016. Robbie is survived by his son, Marine Corporal Erik Michael Linnehan of Twentynine Palms, CA, his 12 siblings, MaryEllen and Dr. Christopher Allegra of Chappaqua, NY, Johanna and Ethan Beeler of Belmont, MA, Lisa Linnehan and Marianne Lampke of Somerville, MA, Hugh and Petra Linnehan of Norwood, NJ, Christine and James Sununu of North Hampton, NH, Michael and Robin Linnehan of Hampton Falls, NH, Jodi and Michael Kriner of Hampton Falls, NH, John Linnehan of Greenland, NH, Anne and Matthew Leary of Wakefield, MA, Joseph and Sarah Linnehan of Greenland, NH, Kathryn and Gregory Kouloheras of Hampton Falls, NH, and Julie and Bill Lord of Hampton, NH.
He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and 32 nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be from 4-8 P.M. Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH. A prayer service will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, July 7, 2018 in the funeral home.
