Obituary for Ernest R. Atwell Exeter – Ernest R. Atwell, 76, of Exeter, former longtime resident of Haverhill, died peacefully on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the Exeter Center. He was born in Boissevain, VA on December 22, 1941 a son of the late Frank H. and Annie (Grub) Atwell. Raised in Virginia, he moved to Haverhill, MA in the 1960’s and worked as a plumber for McKulsky Plumbing for a number years, before starting his own plumbing business which he operated until his retirement.

Ernest loved hunting, fishing and a cold beer or two. Family members his wife Cindi (Welch) Atwell; children, Cathy Vera, Peggy Atwell, Robin Atwell, William Atwell, Stacy Gravel, Sherry Greeley, Tia Routhier, Rolando Quintana and Jessica Atwell; sisters, Bertha, Jane and Peggy; numerous grand and great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Burton “Archie”, Robert, Porter, Jessie and Jonnie Atwell.

A celebration of life will be held at his daughter’s home from 1-5 PM on Saturday, September 29, 2108 at 105 High Street, Boscawen NH. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a cancer research of your choice.
