Obituary for Josiah M. Beringer Hampton Beach- Josiah M. Beringer, 31 of Hampton Beach, passed away after a long battle with drug addiction on July 10, 2018 on his boat in Kittery, ME. He’s now at peace with his father, Brian, and his mother, Patricia. Josiah was an avid commercial lobster fisherman who enjoyed spending time on the F/V Patricia Lynn II with his “one of a kind” Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Gauge.

Josiah spent many hours in his office, at the wheel of his boat where he captured some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Aside from his career, his love for his family and friends was endless. He especially enjoyed taking his oldest nephew fishing with him.

He also enjoyed trips to warm tropical places. Josiah is survived by his four siblings, Amanda and her husband Rick Brown, Micah and his wife Trisha Beringer, and his twin sisters, Abigail and Hannah Beringer; nephews and nieces, Isaiah and Xavier Jewell, Braylynn Brown, and Azalea and Ezekiel Beringer; his girlfriend Sarah Norton and her son Jayden: and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Even though Josiah made poor choices, he never stopped fighting for his sobriety.

Despite this disease, JoJo never lost his ability to light up a room with his contagious smile and sense of humor. If you are suffering or know someone who is, please reach out. We want people to know that this disease does not discriminate and it takes over your life.

Today’s the day, as tomorrow is not promised. Our brother was a fighter and that’s how we will remember him. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Chucky’s Fight in memory of our brother.
