Edmund Glebocki, 89, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Baystate Noble Hospital. He was born in Kopciowka, Poland to the late Jan and Emilia (Wilczewska) Glebocki and moved to the United Sates in 1981. He worked as a tailor for the garment industry for many years and also for HB Smith, until it closed.

His family was everything to him. He loved family gatherings, spending time with his grandchildren and playing with his great-grandchildren. His smiles and hugs were contagious and everyone came back for more.

He loved to dance and spend time with his many friends. He loved fishing, gardening, tending to his raspberry bushes, and making amazing hats for everyone he knew. He will be forever remembered and dearly missed for his helpfulness, dedication, and sense of humor.

His strong faith in God sustained him through the last mile of his life’s journey. Edmund is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Genowefa (Pozniak) Glebocki, his loving children, Zdzislaw Glebocki and his wife Barbara of Poland, Wanda Pluciennik and her husband Stanislaw of Westfield, Grzegorz Glebocki and his wife Marzena of Wilbraham, Bozena Jaworowski and her husband Krzysztof of Southampton and Sebastian Glebocki of Westfield, his cherished eleven grandchildren, Ewa, Izabela, Robert, Thomas, Helena, Jakub, Maximilian, Konrad, Daniel, Sebastian and Connor and 11 great grandchildren. He also leaves his brothers, Romuald, Czeslaw, and Henryk, all of Poland, and sisters, Filomena Marcinkiewicz, of Poland and Leokadia Malyszko of New Britain, CT.

He was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Zdzislawa, brother Kazimierz and sister Stanislawa Burnewicz. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9AM from the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield, followed by a Mass at 10AM in Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St. Westfield. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd.

Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5-8 PM in the funeral home. Donations in Edmund’s name may be directed to Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St. Westfield, MA 01085.
