West Springfield – Kenneth Arthur Asher, 65, passed away peacefully Monday at Baystate Medical Center. Kenny was born January 20, 1953 in Springfield to the late Arthur and Mary Asher. He grew up in Springfield and was a graduate of STCC.

He worked at the Post Office in Springfield before he retired. He loved to listen to Christian music, The Beatles, and especially Paul McCartney and Wings. He was a member of The First Church in West Springfield, sang in their choir, and attended New Life Worship Center in Westfield.

He enjoyed many restaurant meals, especially Delmonico steak. Kenny was an avid fan of the beach, having fond family memories from Nantasket Beach and more recent excursions to Hammonasset and Scarborough Beach. Kenny will be dearly missed by his dear friend Kim Kos and to all who knew him.

Visitation for Kenny will be Sunday from 12:30PM-1:00PM at Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation, 4 Princeton Street in Westfield, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at Middlefarms Cemetery in Westfield. Please visit www.
