Obituary for Edward Charles Lorenz Edward Charles Lorenz, 72, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2018. A former Maryland resident, he had been in Bonita Springs since 2000. He was born September 12, 1946 in Providence, RI, the son of Charles Milton and Elizabeth A. (née Buccolino) Lorenz.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He spent 40 years as a golf professional and was exceptional in all aspects of the industry. He owned and operated Jersey Café and Sal’s Pizzeria in Ft.

Myers and owned a taxi company as well. Mr. Lorenz is survived by his loving sons, Jack Lorenz of Bonita Springs, FL and Anthony (Laura Jean) Lorenz of Ft. Myers, FL; and his brother, Charles (Charlene) Lorenz of Midlothian, VA.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Erika (née Bartsch) Lorenz in 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 28300 Beaumont Road, Bonita Springs. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home – Family Owned Since 1978.
