Edward Nathaniel (Po Ed) Johnson 79 of Monessen passed away Monday January 7, 2019 in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville, Pa. Ed was born October 21, 1939 in Monessen to the late Nathaniel and Edna Johnson. He was a graduate of Monessen High School.

Ed was employed by Texas Eastern Pipeline of Bartleysville, Ok. , Gerald Vitale, Inc. North Charleroi, Pa. , Robertson Heating and Supply of Greensburg, Pa.

and Dawn Supply in Donora, Pa. He was a social member of Loyal order of Elks 697 Monessen, Pa. He loved fishing, cooking, gardening, crossword puzzles and jazz music.

Ed is survived by 6 children: Edward N. Johnson, Edna M Johnson, Jay J. Johnson, Vaughn A. Johnson, Dawn D Thomas Johnson, all of Buffalo, N.Y. and Reese Johnson. 5 stepchildren; Darnell R. Williams, Edward D. Lantz, Terry Lantz-Baldwin, Kirk D. Lantz, and Teresa Lantz-Brown, a host of grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, His life long friend Mr. Richard James along with all those he held dear to his heart. Friends will be received Monday January 14, 2019 from 3:00 until 7:00 pm and Tuesday January 15, 2019 from 10:00 until 11:00 am at which time a funeral service will begin all at Christian Life Ministries 1201 Patton Ave.

Monessen, Pa. 15062 with the Reverend Kevin Bundridge, officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to: Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home, Inc. 608 Sixth St. Monessen, Pa.
