Edward T. “Sox” Gruzinski, 89, of Hopewell Twp. , died peacefully, Thursday, June 28, 2018, in the tender care of Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver, PA. Born, August 30, 1928, in West Aliquippa, Ed was the son of John and Elizabeth (Golixer) Gruzinski.

“Sox” loved to hunt and fish, and believed that living in Western Pennsylvania was the best place in the world to live! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary “Mimi” (Mihalovich) Gruzinski in 2000, his sister, Elizabeth Andresky, and brothers, John “Cotton” Gruzinski and Anthony Gruzinski. Surviving are his daughters, Debbie (Bob) Filler , Linda (Bill) Rankin, his son, Ken Gruzinski, and cherished grandchildren, Haley Lauren Gruzinski and Matthew Edward Gruzinski.

Ed is also survived by his brother and best friend, David Gruzinski, four nieces, seven nephews, dear cousins, and longtime friend and doctor, Dr. Amar J. Singh, MD. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, July 10th from 4 to 8pm in Tatalovich Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2205 McMinn St, Aliquippa, PA, 15001, where a service will be held Wednesday, July 11th at 10:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2270 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa (Hopewell Twp. ), PA 15001.

Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery at 12pm, where the Beaver County Special Unit will conduct military honors. Memorials may be directed to a Veterans’ organization of your choice, for which the family will be very grateful.
