Obituary for Eldon Lee James Eldon Lee James, 83 of Cheyenne went to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family on May 13th, 2018. Eldon was born September 3, 1934 in Hillman, MN to Minnie (Briese) and Elmer James. He served in theArmy at the end of the Korean conflict.
He returned home and took a job with Derby Oil in KS. He was transferred to Cheyenne and worked for what is now Dyno Nobel for 30+ years. In 1975, Eldon married the love of his life and life partner Barbara.
After his retirement, they traveled for several years in their motorhome. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Kelly. Eldon is survived by his wife Barbara, brothers Lowell (Shirley), Marlin (Pearl) & Delmer (Betty)James, sisters Marlyce (Jim) Harlin, and Verna (Rudy) Donner, Sons, Ken James of Wichita, KS, Art (DeeAnn) Hansen of Cheyenne, WY, daughters, Chris (Joe) McRady, Annette (Alan) Setbacken, and Charlotte Schaffner of Cheyenne, grandchildren Kayla (Ron) Breedlove, Michael & Lucas James, Angel (Ben) Bice, Nicole (Julie) Messamaker, Megan (Jeremiah) Nelson, Bo James, Kandice Hansen, Cody (Emily )& Daniel McRady, Eldona, Crystal & Tony Schaffner and 18 great grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday, 2:00 p.m., at Cheyenne Hills Church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Davis Hospice or Children’s Hospital. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Eldon Lee James please visit our Sympathy Store.
