Services for Eleanor Jean Marko Bond, 88, of Frankfort, will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Dawn Montgomery and Chuck Ellestad will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Born December 7, 1930 in Binghamton, New York, Eleanor was involved with choir and cheerleading during high school and after graduating worked as an Executive Secretary for the Kentucky Department of Health Services before retiring. Eleanor enjoyed tailgating with the R.V. at U.K. Football Games, camping and traveling. She was even a member of the Kentucky Horseshoe Motor Home Association.

She was involved with the Frankfort Women’s Club and the Order of the Eastern Star, Saint Mark’s Chapter #698, and her home church, Saint Michael’s American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church in New York, as well as being a Kentucky Colonel. Daughter of the late, Mary Rudick and John Marko, Sr., Eleanor is preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Paul Bond; four brothers, Andrew, George, Joseph, John Marko, Jr.; and three sisters, Margaret Rozboril, Mary Kost and Lillian Matyas. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jodie Bond Necaise, Frankfort, John William (Michelle) Bond, Carson City, NV, Mary Bond (Paul) Routhier, Bozeman, MT, and Tish Bond (Layne) Smith, Frankfort; grandchildren, Sarah Necaise, Chris (Amy) Green, Eric Smith, Zachary Necaise, Adam Bond, and Alex Bond; great-grandchildren, Bennet Paul Green, and Cooper Lawrence Green; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Green, Eric Smith, Paul Routhier, Robert Haydon, Robert Buchanan and Layne Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be John Bond, Cindy Gravitt, Nancy Nodler, Laura Ellis, Janet Farmer, Michael Kost, Carissa Teasley, and Cheri Bentley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, Kentucky, 40601.
