Eletha Pearl Jessup October 08, 1925 – January 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Eletha Pearl Jessup age 93, of Tuttle, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at Willowood Assisted Living Center in Mustang, OK. Eletha was born on October 8, 1925, in Cement, Oklahoma. She was one of three children born to Jesse William Bell and Mollie (Sewell) Bell.

Eletha attended Cement Schools all twelve years, graduating with the class of 1943. She then attended one year at Hardin Junior College in Wichita Falls, Texas. After WWII was over she moved back to Oklahoma and married Monroe “Smokie” Jessup in 1946.

Together they raised one daughter, Gloria Jean Jessup. They first lived in North Carolina for five years and OKC for 14 years before moving to Tuttle in 1965. While living in Tuttle, Eletha was a faithful Christian and member of the Tuttle First Baptist Church for nearly 50 years.

She taught Sunday school for many years, was a Girl Scouts Leader for many years and was a member of the Eastern Star. Eletha worked most of her life as a homemaker and as a secretary. She first worked in the insurance business and banking business.

Then, she later worked at Tinker AFB and then for the FAA. After retiring she enjoyed living in South Texas for 20 years during the Oklahoma winters. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Jesse and Mollie Bell. Sister, Lucille Huffine and husband Hilbert. Infant brother, Jesse Lee Bell.

A niece, Mary Word. She is survived by: Daughter, Gloria Jessup and husband Glen Adams of Tuttle, OK. Granddaughter, Mandy York and husband Wes of Tuttle, Two great grandsons, Quinton and Ethan York of Tuttle, One niece, Becky Ernest and husband Melvin of Norman, One nephew, Jim Huffine of Tuttle.

Cousin, George and Janice Duncan of Cordell and Deloise Duncan and husband Gene. Funeral services will be 10:00A.M. Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Tuttle First Baptist Church. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tuttle First Baptist Church.
