Glenn Franklin McCall April 23, 1934 – February 19, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Glenn Franklin McCall, age 84 of Purcell, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at the Norman Regional Hospital. Glenn was born April 23, 1934 in Rosedale, the oldest of 8 children born to Thomas Frank McCall and Vivian Irene (May) McCall. He was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools, graduating with the Class of 1952.

On December 3, 1953, Glenn married his best friend and life partner, Mary Euyvone Garrett. Glenn and Bonnie made their home in Purcell where together they raised 3 children, daughters, Donna and Cathy and son, Lloyd. Glenn worked for the Oklahoma Highway Department as a Surveyor and an Engineer.

He enjoyed his work and looked forward to his next big project. Glenn was dedicated to whatever he was doing, and he retired after more than 35 years of service. Retirement for Glenn didn’t last long, as he needed other projects.

He continued to work for area contractors on bridge and turnpike projects. When he wasn’t working, you could find Glenn fishing, or tending to his cattle. He was an avid sports fan, and never missed a good football game.

Glenn was a family man first; he cherished Bonnie, and especially his grandchildren. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Purcell. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His parents, Thomas and Vivian McCall; Sister, Lavada Dixon and 2 Brothers, Royce McCall Anthony McCall. Glenn is survived by: His loving wife of 65 years, Bonnie McCall of the home; Two daughters, Donna Hawkins and Cathy McCall, Both of Lexington; Son, Lloyd McCall of Mississippi; Grandson, Michael Brakefield; 3 great grandchildren, Adam, Aubree and Atreyu; 1 great great grandchild, Korbin, and two more on the way; 2 sisters, Gail Staggs and husband Jackie of Bernieville, OK and Joyce Corpany and husband Herb of Red Oak, TX; 2 brothers, Doyle Ray McCall and wife Mary Ann of Fairview and Tommy McCall and wife Kay of Arlington, TX; Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 22, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Purcell.

Burial will follow at the Hillside Cemetery.
