Sinton – Elida R. Gonzales passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2019 with her loving family at her side. She was 79. Elida was born in Sinton, Texas on April 26, 1939 to Piedad (Garza) and Esteban Rodriguez.

She was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Sinton. Preceding in death is her husband: Alfredo Gonzales, Sr.; great-grandson: Ayden Ace Gonzales; parents: Esteban and Piedad Rodriguez; and numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include sons: Alfredo Gonzales, Jr. of Taft, Texas; Joe Gonzales and Rick Gonzales (Yolanda), both of Sinton, Texas; daughters: Rosalinda Cantu; Mary Martinez and Olga Cavazos (David), all of Sinton, Texas; 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 10, 2019. 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A holy rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 11, 2019, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton, with Father Glen Mullan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton. Pallbearers will be Justin Martinez, Roland Ramirez, Ricky Gonzales Kimberly Gonzales, Joey Gonzales, Eric Cantu, Mike Cantu, Pete Cantu and DJ Cavazos.
