ELIGE MURPHY JR. , age 64 of Sidney, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at 1:04 AM at Sidney Care Center. He was born on May 30, 1954 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Elige Sr. and Christine (Jackson) Murphy.

He is survived by two daughters, Misty (Eric) Trombly of Troy, and Mandy (Mitch) Maddy of Maplewood, one brother, Arnold Murphy of Sidney, and five grandchildren, Kayla, Austin, Drew, Zayne and Lucas. He was preceded in death by three brothers, William, David and Johnny Murphy. Mr. Murphy was employed by Alcoa as a truck driver for over 28 years.

He attended Crossroad Church of God in Piqua. A Memorial Service will held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 5:30 PM at Crossroad Church of God, 9330 Looney Rd, Piqua, OH 45356 with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating.

A Committal Service will take place at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, Sidney. Condolences may be expressed to the Murphy family at the funeral home’s website, www.
