Obituary for Elinor G. Yeaton Hampton – Elinor G. Yeaton, 92, of Hampton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Portsmouth Hospital. Elinor was born in Newburyport, MA on January 24, 1926, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Edith (Pryor) Worthen. She was raised in Amesbury and graduated from Amesbury High with the Class of 1944.

Elinor married the late Gordon H. Yeaton in 1947 and enjoyed 67 years of marriage until Gordon’s death in 2014. Elinor is survived by her sons, John Yeaton and his wife Terry and Charles Yeaton and his wife Patricia, all of Hampton; her grandchildren Heather, Katie, Thomas and Sarah, and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Elinor was predeceased by 5 sisters and a brother.

Services will be private and burial will be with her husband in the High Street Cemetery, Hampton. Arrangements are by the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home – Crematory, Hampton. If desired, contributions can be made to the First Congregational Church, 127 Winnacunnet Road, Hampton, NH 03842.
