Obituary for Carl E. Conti Hampton- Carl Ernest Conti, 77, of Hampton, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2018, with his wife, Chrissy, at his side. He was in the care of Constellation Hospice at the Country Center, Newburyport, MA. Carl was born in Melrose, MA, February 9, 1941, son of the late Ernest C. and Lucille (Cate) Conti.

He was raised in Wakefield, MA, graduated from Wakefield High School with the Class of 1958 and went on to graduate from Bentley College in 1964 with an accounting degree. Carl married Christine (Sloane) Conti in 1964 and they settled in Hampton in 1970. Carl worked as an accountant for GTE in Greenland before his retirement.

In addition to wife Chris, Carl is survived by his son, Neal L. Conti and wife Tracey of Stratham, his grandsons Ryan and Kyle Conti, his sisters, Joyce Hart and husband Frank, and Francie Collins and husband, John, and his brother-in-law, Stewart P. Sloane as well as beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son, Paul D. Conti, who died in 2013. Carl felt great love and pride for his sons and grandsons.

His friends and family will fondly remember his enthusiasm, the twinkle in his eye, and his sense of humor. Friends and family may visit from 2 to 3 PM on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, in the Remick and Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd. , Hampton.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 3 PM in the funeral home with a reception to follow. As Carl would prefer, opt out of neckties! In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Constellation Hospice, 180 Low St., Newburyport, MA 01950.
