Elizabeth A. Polanek November 26, 1929 – January 15, 2019 Elizabeth A. Polanek, 89, Chesterton, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in Franciscan Health – Michigan City, Michigan City. Private family services will be conducted. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements.

She was born November 26, 1929 in Brookfield, Illinois to the late John and Eva (Markovich) Paveltich. On August 7, 1948 in Brookfield, IL she married Earle Polanek, Sr.who preceded her in 2009. Surviving are two daughters, Eve (Ed) Buompensiero of Las Vegas, NV and Karen Mathews of Chesterton, IN; Son, Earle Polanek, Jr. of Collins, MO; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Rose Shuster of Clarendon Hills, IL.

She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Becky Bussalacchi and Anna Mignogia; and two sisters, Eva Pollack and Mary Portner. Elizabeth enjoyed visiting casinos. Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl.
