Obituary for Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Pfiefer Owen Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Pfeifer Owen, 89, of Lyndon, passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 8, 2018 with her family by her side. She was a native of Louisville, daughter of the late John William and Harriet Thompson Pfeifer. She was a devoted wife, proud mother and grandmother, loved to garden, and was a long time member of St. Albert the Great.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Robert L. Owen; and two sisters, Mary C. Doty, and Jean Wiseman. She is survived by her two sons, William M. “Bill” Owen, Gary T. Owen (Cheryl); grandson, Matthew R. Owen; two brothers, Charles Pfeifer (Gloria), Joseph Pfeifer (Linda); nieces, nephews and many friends. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Drive with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.

To honor their mother, visitation will be on the day set aside to honor all Mothers, Sunday, from 2 to 7p.m. at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road “in St. Matthews”. Memorial gifts in Betty’s memory may be made to the WHAS Crusade for Children or the Ronald McDonald House.
