Elizabeth Ann Edmundson August 25, 1959 – April 15, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Elizabeth Ann Edmundson, age 59, a 15-year resident of Jacksonville, FL, passed away in Austin, TX on April 15, 2019. Libby, as she was affectionately called, was born August 25, 1959 in Union City, TN to Larry and Betty Caldwell Edmundson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at White-Ranson Funeral Home.

Visitation will precede services at 10 AM. Libby grew up in Union City, Memphis, Silver Spring, MD, Charleston, SC and Kailua, Hawaii. She graduated from Hanahan High School outside Charleston, followed by studies at Winthrop College in Rock Hill, NC.

Shortly after college, Libby stated her career in fedeal service as a Procurement Agent for the U.S. Navy where she worked in many locations including Charleston, SC, Kings Bay, GA, Pascagoula, MS, Jacksonville, FL, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. After her years as a civil servant, Libby took her skills and strong work ethic to Target joining their team in Jacksonville. Libby had a passion for cooking, always trying new foods and recipes; and she loved grocery shopping.

She loved to “head dance” — as she called it– to blues music attending festivals whenever she could. Libby created beautiful works of art with stamp and collages; she created treasured and unique cards to celebrate holidays and events, bringing special joy to many. She loved traveling, especially to places like Las Vegas with high temperatures and lots of activity.

She also earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Libby loved her extended family of work colleagues and her neighbors. Libby is survived by her father and step mother, Larry and Sandra Edmundson; brother, Neil (Ellen) Edmundson of Woodinville, WA; sister, Gena (Robert) Black of Austin, TX; nieces, Lauren Elsey of Austin, TX, Annie Edmundson of Brooklyn, NY, Lexi Edmundson of New Haven, CT; nephew Ryan Elsey of Austin, TX; great-nephew, Josiah Neal and great-niece, Abigail Neal.

She was preceded in death by her mother.
