Obituary for Elizabeth Ann Friemann A memorial gathering for Elizabeth Friemann will be held Saturday December 15th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel. A time for sharing personal memories about Mrs. Friemann will begin shortly after 1:00. Mrs. Friemann, age 73, died Tuesday December 11, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary’s campus, in Rochester.

Burial of the urn will occur in Spring 2019 at the Minnesota Veterans’ Cemetery in Preston. Elizabeth Ann Metzger was born January 29, 1945 in Rochester, the daughter of Eli and Grace (Schermerhorn) Metzger. Raised in Chatfield, Elizabeth was a graduate of Chosen Valley High School there.

She married Michael G. Friemann on September 23, 1967 in Rochester. Elizabeth was a laboratory technician for Mayo Clinic for fifteen years, and she was also a daycare provider for many years. She will be remembered for her great love of animals.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Friemann, of Rochester; sons, Michael S. (Heather) Friemann of Baxter, Minnesota, Jim Friemann of Rochester; daughters, Jennifer C. Friemann and Mary S. Friemann, both of Rochester; four grandchildren, Maren and Josh Friemann of Baxter, and Alanah and Marcus Mack of Rochester. Elizabeth is also survived by a sister, Marcella (Kent) Kulawske of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers.
